Bet On President Election

I don’t know if this type of thing is new.
But it seems like the austrian Betandwin.com sports bet site is now offering bets on Portugal’s Presidentials. From the legal point of view, it kinda confuses me how some and some candidates did announce that they will sue the company. Sue them for what? I was informed you could check on the current winner on the site (this reminds me of dog race bets). So, are they afraid the voters would vote according to betandwin’s results?
