A Change In Life
A friend introduced me to this great highly technical death-metal band, Necrophagist.
I must admit i use p2p to get lots of music, so i did the obivous, i got their album - Epitaph. I immediatly uploaded it to my ipod and listened to it for like, 3 times. The album is great, i cant describe how great it is, go ahead and listen to it yourself. Now here’s my point, i guess im gonna buy the album, i do this when i get to really like the sound i get from the net. Not being a wealthy guy, and being a jobless student, its quite obvious i dont get to buy lots of CD’s like i did before (when i was employed and a worse student), but this one i guess im gonna buy it.
Later on, i browsed ebay for some sun hardware (i do this since the early years), and found out some pretty good deals: Sun Blades 1000 with 1GB RAM at 550euros buy-it-now. It’s not that i have the money for it, i really dont. But something tells me that this would be a great box for some projects im working on (im sure a special reader is smiling just like me right now :) ). Actually, my ultra1 is still doing a pretty good job running my heaviest project, but i guess with would be good to add a 100Mbit ethernet, some extra ram, and PLEASE TOOTH FAIRY, GIMME A BIGGER SCSI HD, IM DYING ON THAT 2GB TIGHT HD! Anyway, solaris9 runs great on it, and im not planning to move to solaris10 so soon, i dont have the ram for it (512MB required, they say), and that aprox 10GB full install on a friend’s pretty fast ultra2 didnt look that good to change.
Spent the rest of the day not listening to metal, but jazz. And my audioscrobbler stats are’nt updated for ages, cant figure out why.
