Note To Linksys (And Other Network Vendors)
Dear Linksys,
Is it that hard to ship your product power adapters with its correspondent product model name in it?
I can live with the fact that you ship most of your products with third-party power adapters, but why can't you just label them?
Or even include voltage information on your products too?
I just took my old Linksys EtherFast 10/100 8-Port switch out of my big yellow box of unused hardware and i got kind of puzzled while trying to understand which power adapter was the right one (yeah, cause i had several of them).
So i just did the obvious, checked out the voltage information on the product and discovered that there was nothing about it. I had no choice but to try the first adapter that fitted in the switch power socket, so, doing that, i immedialty burned the switch... This always happens when you mostly need it, in my case, i was throwing a lan party at my place, so a friend just had to go home and bring his own switch.
Please, reasonably label your products or ship them with Post-it notes in the future.
