Somewhere Between Those Lines Of Code

Damn i hate saturday. You go to bed on friday night thinking youll have a wonderfull night of sleep and that youll wakeup the other day feeling fresh and brand new. Doesnt it suck when you wake up at 8am on a saturday morning? And you stay in bed, you dont sleep, you dont feel like getting up and then you finally get the guts to get up at 11am? Spending the rest of the day in zombie-couch-potato-mode is totally non-productive. Specially when you suffer from occasional stomach high acidity and you cant have your morning dose of caffeine as you’de wish. Still, somedays i just dont care and take my expresso, and yes, i feel more awakened.

Anyway, something funny just happened to me. I was thinking of buying an extra box for some PAM related developing. I just dont want to play with pam on both my linux boxes (desktop and gateway) and then end up with messages like “login failed” or something similar when i try to login. So i was checking out what i could buy: some cheap 10th-hand p2 box for less than 50euros that i could play with. Aparently, a friend announced on IRC that he was giving away two p2 boxes. He just saved me 50bucks! The box is great, 350mhz pentium2 CPU, 4GB harddisk but no RAM. I guess i gotta take some RAM out of my gateway box, less 128MB will do no harm for sure.
